Hey Steemians
Today's post is a bit of a rant from my end but fuckit it's my blog and I can cry if I want to, Rant if I want to, Shitpost if I want to. Yes, we're all trying to make it in this crazy world called Steemit and trying to make our mark on the blockchain. I totally get that no one is going to post an Edgar Allan Poe or a Picasso level post every day and we're all simply trying to figure out what works for us and our audience.
Through all the shit posting and engaging we eventually refine our work, improve our writing and contributions to the blockchain, your earnings will also increase, its proof improvement and influence in a way. Shit posts have their place in the ecosystem and If you want to know more about its place check out my previous post - The Importance of Shitposts
Shitposts are also not always shitposts to everyone and different niches appreciate that kind of content but one thing I can safely say is that NO ONE in the crypto, finance or blockchain space appreciate technical analysis posts. NO one! I REPEAT NO ONE!
Its a crock of shit
Oh, wow so you pulled a graph and drew a Fibonacci sequence, congrats bro you just pulled off some TA! You should be making millions then since you're so fucking smart. If your TA is so on point you should be making crazy gains all the time so why would you bother giving away your prized trading secrets to steemit or youtube for a payout? Shouldn't your trade profits be enough? Clearly not!
Volatility bro
Yes, you can look at indicators and trends but you cannot account for a global market that can be hit by FUD or just about anything. Regulations, hacks, schemes or whale manipulation the list goes on. In a volatile market such as this these factors aren't outliers but regular occurrences so you can pattern match all you want ain't going to make that shit predict the future.
Owning a car doesn't make you Lewis Hamilton
Just because you own some cryptocurrency and have a portfolio of alts doesn't make you an expert.
Try out TA
I've literally seen review posts on steemit where a user would take calls from technical analysis posts and then match the buy and sell prices over time and review the gains you would have made and more often than not the TA would land you in the negative. The house always wins, don't even try to fool yourself.
TA needs a turnaround
TA posts are a joke and the laughing stock of crypto content and makes it painful for me to sift through shitposts to find great content. If you're going to post TA why not offer some insights like research into pros and cons about the coin, its status vs direct competition and some of the latest developments around the coin.
Give us some content and some context with your TA and provide a quality post that users can actaully draw some damn benefit from.
TA is a joke
While I hate TA shitposts more for the terrible content and misinterpretation of figures I also cannot condone people receiving value for this type of content. Most of the time its a screenshot of a couple of graphs. Price point indicators and really bad calls based on a microset of data. It really doesn't take long to produce and shouldn't be rewarded. If I had my way I would flag every single TA post I could get my hands on until my voting power was 0%
The best part of it all is these TA post producers will still slap on disclaimers that they're not financial advisors and this is just informative content. Well, it didn't inform anyone of anything other than you're looking for an easy out to produce low-quality fast food style content. Even fake news providers put more effort into their content than TA producers, and Fake news providers make shit up for at least 500 or more words. You just take a screenshot and push out 3 lines of shit you made up!

Have at it
What do you think of technical analysis posts? Should they be held to a different standard to other content and flagged the fuck off the platform or am I being too harsh?

But don’t you know based on the current trend that bitcoin will hit 50,000$??????? Come on bro!!11

I agree with you, those posts are comical. It’s just the crypto version of those market analysts. There will always be the same idiots writing them and thinking they are doing the most amazing job and they will be featured on the trending page with everyone yelling their name because they are a genius!
Add this to their posts when you see them lol

It's so painful to me it's just like word vomit, even though I'm really into crypto, I would much rather read about what the Kardashians are doing than see a TA post, it's really that low on the scale for me!
Lol saved the image, already know whose posts I'll be sharing this on, thanks!
