I'd say so since it's not the same as banks who can release your accounts to whoever is listed in your will. You literally can't access crypto accounts without passwords. That money is gone unless you've told someone a) about your accounts and b) what the passwords are.

very good article. We all should think of a backup plan in case something happens. I showed a family member where my backup key phrases are. But i love LastPass and may set up the second person thing like you suggested now. Thx

Well then wouldn't you need to give someone access to your account via a third party? It seems like it would be easy for someone to abuse the system. The LastPass option seems much safer to me. You retain control of your accounts until you're dead and the waiting period expires.

I don't necessarily think it's about who's good or bad. It's about protecting your wealth and not leaving it in limbo if something happens to you.
