On the last day of August is Raksha Bandhan. In Indian culture, this day is celebrated as a special day to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and love. This day is celebrated to reinforce unity and love on the Indian subcontinent. Bengalis celebrate this day by tying rakhi on the wrists of brothers by sisters.

On Raksha Bandhan day, sisters tie a carefully prepared thread on the wrists of their brothers and wish them long life and happiness. They also pray for their protection from all kinds of difficulties and for their happiness. Brothers also promise to protect this bond of love from sisters for life and to remain attached to them with love.

Once, not having a sister was a lack for me, but now that lack is gone. Now I have many sisters. Every year, I tie rakhi with one of my brothers to mark this day and also send rakhi to all the sisters in "Amar Bangla Blog" on this day. I continued this tradition this year as well. After welcoming and good wishes, I sent rakhi virtually to all the sisters in the community.

All my sisters beautifully tied rakhi on me and wished me well. I thank them for all their intentions. After tying rakhi, sisters gave me gifts, so it was appropriate for me to give something to my sisters as a love gift. I haven't given gifts for welcoming and good wishes yet, but I will soon. Today, I have some love gifts for all my sisters on "Amar Bangla Blog."
