Upload to YouTube / Facebook a 360º Video.

Requirements list:

• A computer, the conversion speed depends your computer power;
• 360º Camera (My Camera: Elephone Elecam 360) ;
• Software: 360 Video Metadata Tool win;
• Software: SYMAX360 Player Windows;
• Free space in Hard Disk, at least double size of Original Video Size.

Info:

• A Video with +- 20 Minutes will take around 1.5GB
• A Converted Video with +- 20 Minutes will take +1.5GB
• A 360º Camera can be found at GearBest Store they have a medium quality.

How to Start.

• Shoot a video, go outside and record 10 or 15 minutes.
• Copy the Video file from camera SD Card to your computer.
• Install SYMAX360 Player Windows and run it after install.

Working with SYMAX360 for Windows:

• 1 - Open Editor Mode:
  

• 2 - On the new Window click in "OPEN" to choose your Original Video File, Select your "Video Quality", "High" is recommended and Double Check your "Output Path" the new file will be saved there.
  

• 3 - Click "Start" to convert. Note that your video preview will looks weird but do not worries about it, the final result will be good. You can check the conversion progress on the bottom, at "Progress" bar.
  

• 4 - After Progress Bar touch 100% a new file will be create on "Output Path".

I suggest to cut the a couple seconds on conversion steps on Start and End too.

Working with 360 Video Metadata Tool win

To give 360º status to your video you will need to "inject" some METADATA on it. I am using a Tool called "Spatial Media Metadata Injector", Python based tool.

• 1 - Run the Software and click in Open to choose you video file (Remember, the NEW converted file.) After choose the file, select "MY VIDEO IS SPHERICAL (360)" and after in "Inject Metadata". A third new file will be create, "_injected" will be added in file name.
  

The injection phase is the last step to get ready, the file created after "Injection" is ready to be posted online, like Facebook or Youtube.

Follwing the steeps above I am creating a new 360º file from my last travel... Wait for my next post to watch the video.
