🌊 Riding the wave of excitement on all the reasons I Loved steemit, I never put it under scrutiny until recently and might have been setup by the devil himself or worse. LOL
Not really different than Facebook in that the fruits of our labors get siphoned off by the creators. Only here we can see some coin falling our way while the pallets of cash rise above us.
🐳 A little poking around on the blockchain to see how the original Whales had formed freaked me out! A conglomerate of accounts all mining away and auto vesting other accounts formed the power we still see today.
I'll not get long winded on my findings, but should have been nipped in the bud by our so called witnesses but no one spoke up that I'm aware of?
After a couple of hours of recording a tiny amount of these endless accounts, steemd.com blocked me? But I have a huge list. Just as well as I was just getting bummed out anyway. LOL
Seemed to be coordinated effort with no disenting voices anyway. Which let me to a recent blog that just finished blowing my mind Read it here
Thousands of new accounts per day all voting and supporting each other and sending all rewards to certain accounts to be bled off. While legit users wait forever to have an account approved. Wonder why your votes get you nowhere anymore? All these new accounts are created by and funded by @steem below is its account balances...
But there are good people trying to take corrective measures to free up the reward pool. I hope they can?
I will continue to use steemit for sevral different reasons but will no longer promote it to anyone. I've had a ton of fun here even if I was just being played and did in fact take profits to live on for my efforts.
The wonderful people I have met here can not be robbed from me either, many great communities have formed and will thrive as like minded groups. Either here or move to better flatforms in time.
