A Thankful Minnow - Community Works

in steemit •  7 years ago

So, I admit I am more of a flounder than a minnow. Because I have been floundering around Steemit trying to figure things out. The website is great for content production, but has room for improvement from the social networking perspective. After figuring out the whole P.A.L. Discord thing, I went and registered my account. However, you need STEEM to participate. Steem I did not have. I asked to borrow some on the message board and was quickly DM'd by @crimsonclad.

This was a welcome surprise for a floundering minnow trying to navigate the harsh shallows of Steemit. I quickly activated my registration by sending the .001 Steem to banjo and minnowsupport. I have now completed the next step. I have sent my first post to the $upvote stream. Hopefully it will draw some attention. Any attention is better than radio silence.

Anyway, no good deed should go unnoticed. After completing the tedious part, I got to do the fun part. I went to @crimsonclad blog to get to know her. The first thing I noticed on the blog wall was an award! For the minnowsupport project. As a minnow who was just the recipient of her support, I have to say "kudos." And thank you. I am not "gushing" here. I am merely showing my appreciation for someone who reached out. I look forward to meeting more of you!

Again, congratulations to crimsonclad on her award:

Agreed, nice post.

One grows up quickly around here I think... with persistence and a friendly attitude (-:
