I started my steemit account about 3 weeks ago, and I really didn't know what to expect from the jump. Quickly, I have learned that this site can be rather addictive, as you simply make money by being an active and engaged member of the community. For me, this has been the best way for my account to continue spiraling upward because I have struggled to gain an audience to back my recent work. I am staying positive, however, because just by upvoting, commenting and being on here daily I am still able to make a little money. Even though I am not reeling in the 'big bucks' like some of the whales on the site, I still know that my account is growing by fully engaging with the rest of the steemit world.
This is pretty reassuring for me and also means that I am not going anywhere, I am in this one for the long haul because I can see just how profitable it can be even without getting huge post payouts. I am so happy to have found steemit, and I cannot wait to continue to keep this thing growing larger and larger.
It would be rather easy to become discouraged with knowing your only getting a few upvotes on your posts or just a few cents, but this brings back memories of @theaustrianguy recent post. His article really gives a sense of what I am trying to say, and he explains the philosophy behind this in a much greater detail.

It's just so easy lol and I see no point for myself to even browse through facebook or instagram anymore, at least until they monetize things the way steemit has! Good luck with your journey, I shall be tuning in to some of your future content :))

Yes I am experiencing the same thing - its got me thinking.. as more work gets done by automation, people can spend more time on other activities like leisure, personal development, invention, and exploration. As the world adapts to technological advances, so must our attitudes towards work. Exciting times

Yes, you bring up a very good point here. I think this could be a popular post among the steemit world... you should maybe try to think up some content related to this material, I believe it could draw some attention... it would at least draw my attention lol

nice one @conradsuperb thats just it... its not the money as much as the whole space. just the act of putting our stuff out there is self rewarding and with so many great folks around... easy to lose hours... and while not tons of money scrolling around... lot more than you get for wasted time on facefuck.
