He stole money from me. I have every right to label him a criminal. Doing so is part of the process. You can't remove how the process starts. You seem to be putting the cart in front of the horse here.

Yes, of course you can label him a criminal, in the sense that it is your right to seek justice, and an accusation is the first step as you correctly point out. So I don't mean to diminish that. What I do mean, and I think this is obvious, is that your claim needs to be substantiated with evidence, not only of your loss but very importantly this it is actually the accused flesh and blood person. You can call him a criminal, but that does not make him a criminal, it just starts this process. Laws around false accusations and slander are something to consider too, but I don't want to get sidetracked by that right now.
I'm glad you agree some of the approach of this post is not right. I have huge sympathy with you and others who've been scammed, I'm completely against scams, I ran @sadkitten against them for some time and helped out in other ways in the past. But seeking justice in a just way is essential. You cannot actually have justice without it.
