will this inflate the coin? i'm just concerned that more coins from rewards = steem losing value

    The number of coins is influenced by the level of mining, not by the upvoting/curation power. The price of steem is in line with supply/demand factors. However, such changes could have an impact on the short term for steem price depending on how the market reacts to them.
