Here's a good reminder for you - esp when you look like you are being logged out....- refresh your page firstly. It's a blip on Steemit - I don't know why it happens but it does, sometimes.
Re your feed - what feed are you looking at ?? The one from an app called Steem Now? Or the one from the steemit link in the top left corner of your page? You might be interested in Steem Now - go to https://steemnow.com/@h-p-oliver. You'll see all kinds of goodies - your feed is in the bottom section under latest posts. Scroll down on the first button to My Feed. You will be in there for sure.
Another help that I use mostly is SteemWorld - I like the format on it better and the information on it is better in my opinion. https://steemworld.org/@h-p-oliver
Big warning. There are some ppl on here who have nefarious "helps" and want you to click on a link to their site. Don't click. Sometimes it's a phishing site, or they might ask for your password or key (same thing).
I used to put this at the bottom of my posts for a while and you might find it helpful.
an important reminder
The posting key is used for signing into your account and for posting.
The active key is used when you make a transfer of your money, place orders in the internal market and to vote for witnesses.
The owner private key is the master key for the account and is required to change the other keys.
Do NOT give this key to anyone, EVER. No matter who they are and how many times they say it's okay to do so.
- Keep it offline as much as possible.
- Keep it in a safe place, on paper and one other place.
The Keys are found in your Wallet - to the left in a tab named Permissions.
If you are ever in doubt about giving keys to third party apps or someone who asks for it, go to Steem Chat and inquire at #steemabuse or #help.
Steemchat can be accessed by clicking on the 3 horizontal lines on the top right of your screen beside your avatar. It's near the bottom. You'll have to log in and use a password - don't use your steem keys - make a password up. Once you open Steemchat you'll see #help on the left. Click on it and ask your question in there. If they don't get back to you right away - they are busy behind the scenes so when they answer you'll receive an email based on the email address you used to sign in to Steemchat.
Hope this makes a whole lot of sense. Learning a new program is a pain sometimes. You'll do fine. :)
Thanks for the suggestions. I'll give them a try.
