So glad you found some connection through this post! I have come to realize that tons of my 'real life' friends aren't actually my friends anyways-- facebook's linguistic labeling just makes us think that!

I was actually pretty surprised, I previously made a post about leaving facebook and to drop me a message if friends wanted me email or address. Since the original post on my fb, I haven't gotten a single email or letter from any of those friends, but I did get seeds from another steemit user (whom I've never interacted with offline) via snail-mail.

Steemit has proven to me to be a very engaged community, I shan't go back!
