1 YEAR on STEEMIT / My Impressions

in steemit •  7 years ago  (edited)

Last year around this time I was watching a Dollar Vigilante episode, and Jeff was talking about Steemit. I was intrigued enough to open up an account and start blogging. I blogged for about 1 month and made about 30 cents. Off and on I began to blog more. For the last 4 1/2 months I've taken Steemit more seriously and have pretty much blogged everyday.

Now, with 2,500 following, and a little over $1,000 worth of Steem in my account I am inspired. I'll continue to blog away, even though my payouts won't be like the more popular people on Steemit, it just doesn't matter. What is important is that I'm having fun, and have been enjoying sharing my life with all of you.

One day when my children are old enough they can simply put my Steemit address in and read what their Dad was into. I see Steemit as a Journal of life. I'm finally writing in my Journal, Steemit Journal that is. I've found I enjoy reading about crypto currencies and how they work. I still have a great deal to learn and am eager to do so. A Quest I am on.

On a Side Note I am pleased at the willingness I see on Steemit to help each other out. I am grateful to have been invited to take part in groups such as teamaustralia , and gridcoin

Have a great day all, and I will see you on Steemit. Also, Thanks again to Jeff Berwick ( @jeffberwick ) for making Steemit a possibility for me. Cheers brother, and keep up the great work.

congrats on your first year. Hope you make tons of money this year. But, mostly have lots of fun!

I'll definitely have fun. As far as making money goes? I need to be a better writer. maybe I should try some comedy. ha. Later.

Completely agree with your approach. You should post something because you like to, not just because you might make money. I like reporting on cryptos and the feeling when i have written a good blog. Even if it sometimes mean the rewards are rather underwhelming. Just one genuine and well argued comment is enough for me to write another few. Anyway, thanks for this and i hope your children will love reading your blogs as well. cheers.

Thanks attalis for the nice comment. I'll have to check out your blog for your information dealing with crypto currencies. To this day I still don't even have a "wallet" or bitcoin account for that matter. Just writing. One day I'll figure out how to transfer my Steem to a wallet. Ah, on second hand who cares. I'll just let it sit in there. Cheers. I am now following your blog.

It was very interesting to hear about your successful journey. Long may it continue :)

Thanks healingherb. I appreciate the kind words. I hope your adventure on Steemit will also continue to grow. Cheers Mate.

Anyone who only does something solely for the money is really missing any point there may be in life.........

Absolutely agree. I'm really not making money here, but it is fun growing something out of my writing. I view it as a game sometimes, and the Steem acquired... Game tokens. haha. Cheers.

Happy Anniversary and Steem on !

I love your philosophy for Steemit. Basically, write what you want to write about. Don't worry too much about not making the same amount as big users. Enjoy your time here.

Put your thoughts on the paper, and have some meaningful discussions. I am here to create an amazing relationship's and share my life experience. If I earn some extra income perfect, and if not I will still keep enjoying Steemit. :)

Happy anniversary and good that you are enjoying your journey so far. I too follow @jeffberwick, his posts are interesting, love seeing him walk his dogs and give us great info and tips. best of luck as you keep steeming :)
