Dear Diary: I Just Don't Want To Buy Things For Myself But Only Those That I Truly Needed In My Life

I often feel some guilt when I want to buy for myself and I felt that I am a selfish or greedy person that doesn't deserve such things even if those things are needed like food or clothing. My underwear are all loose and it really is not good for being worn but I still use it nonetheless and doesn't want to buy new ones even though they drop when i walk.

I just thought that I am always lying down if not sitting up so I do not need some good fitting underwear. the same with other clothing that is why you see me always wearing the same t-shirts ans short pants, I even don't buy footwear or shoes until the upper rubber parts of my flip-flops gets detached I won't replace them. For me it is just a waste of money.

I only buy things that I needed like my medicine and I am afraid if I would spend needless things because I will not find anyone for sure that will buy me things that I needed if my finances would ran out. I feel that I am fending for myself and if I would lose that power to take care of myself then I would get a big problem.

So my priority is to always save for myself but it contradicts the idea of not spending for myself so that I can spend for myself in the future. But what I really want is to buy things that I needed just not to feel some guilt over it.

But currently I am thinking about the welfare more for my parents than myself and tend to set aside my own priorities and prioritize others instead before I would go for my own goals for myself.

Dear friend, if what you say is what the Rotary International is saying "Give of yourself before thinking about it" , so for your joy it's good that all the best is dedicated to your parents, You already have your position saved between the big ones Receive a big hug

Well, such is life. Sometimes you feel like life is more than you and you alone. Considering other peoples needs ahead of yours is a rewarding attitude.

I understand your way of thinking. I read this post and I can see that you are a very mature person who thinks first of what you really need without taking into account material goods that are not really so indispensable in our lives. I like how you appreciate life and I also like you to consider and value the sacrifice of your parents. You are a good person.

@cryptopie despite the circumstaces that you have, you still think of others than your self. Your selflessness is admirable. Keep strong @cryptopie!

The last thing you are is being selfish or greedy. You are right, there are so many more important things than new shoes, or new clothes. On the other side, you work hard and you deserve it.

If you are buying something that you don't need, soon you will sell what you need.

There is no shame in buying things, everyone is free in this world to buy and sell anything they want to... So do not give up, do what you want to do.

do not give up, life is a struggle in facing exams. nothing is perfect in this life comrade.

My grandfather always told me, that to be able to worry about my parents I have to be well first to be able to help them, if I am doing wrong, my person would not be helping my parents. Friend I know that it is not easy that kind of conflitos but what you decide will be fine

It is the nature of us Bicolanos we do not prioritize ourselves. But please do not post about loose underwear because this commenter is a green minded woman she can imagine when it drops hehehe kidding 😂😂😂

Hello my friend!

You shouldn't feel guilty for getting things that you want. Enjoy the here and now. Worrying about it too much can lessen your enjoyment of life. Yes, you are sick but that shouldn't stop you from enjoying the blessings that you have. You DESERVE IT! You are allowed to buy things for you. It doesn't have to be extravagant but just enough to enjoy the little pleasures in life. :)Aja!

Hey man how are you hope you are well. But now I am sick please pray for me as I always pray for you.....
