Last December, I saw a video on Youtube about a girl who gathered four years worth of trash in a jar! You heard it right! IN A JAR! I got inspired by her and decided to try to avoid using of plastics and other non-degradable items this year (amd hopefully forever!) I will share the video below if you want to see how she did it!
Some of my friends shared the photo above on Facebook and I was glad to know that they are doing it already! As of now I have a single foldable shopping bag inside my tote and I have already started to refuse accepting and using disposable cutlery. I feel proud everytime I say that I want to save Mother Earth!
LESS PLASTIC
I checked the website indicated in the photo and found out that lessplastic.co.uk is a family-run organization who raises awareness of the issues caused by the ocean-plastic crisis. Less Plastic was founded last 2015 to answer the endless tides of plastics that were washed up in the shores and beautiful local beaches.
They offer services, strategies and products to individuals and group to solve the crisis. They are an active organization who pushes to resolve this not only to their local community but also to the people all over the world through social media and partners.
