Basic Principles: This has worked for me, so thought I would share in this form for others. One of the common themes when researching happiness from CEO's to Buddhist monks, is positive rituals. Having positive rituals allow you begin each day with a clear mindset and positive pattern of thinking. Each day, come to this page and write down three things that you are grateful for (no matter how inconsequential) and a daily affirmation. A daily affirmation can be a statement of what you want in your life, or simply a positive feeling about yourself.
