In this video, we discuss each of the account permissions and keys that are generated whenever you create a Steemit account. The four permissions/keys are: Posting, Active, Owner, and Memo.
These keys each grant different levels of access on Steemit. We go through each of them in detail. We also stress the importance of backing up your private keys and never logging in with your Owner key unless you absolutely have to. The Posting key is what should be used most often for normal everyday tasks on Steemit. We also reiterate the fact that Steemit is not able to recover your keys if you lose them, so it’s crucial to keep them private and secure.
