Dear Diary,
Hey, you!
Yes, you!
Stop looking over your shoulder. I am talking to you beautiful Steemian.
Hey...I just realized this is the first picture of myself I have had on a post. I am camera shy like that.😁😁😁😁
Welcome to the first post in the second series of posts based around a particular theme. The first revolves around the subject of Affiliate Marketing including a live example of an affiliate site I am building for this series. We got our first sale towards the end of last month. Clearly we are doing something right.
First SALE! Yippieeee!
It is quite exciting. We are two posts deep in that so far. Please join the 5+ people who are following those posts by following me. An upvote to show that you appreciate the information would be nice to.
I will leave a link down at the bottom to the latest post for those who are interested.
In this new series I am going to explore a more creative side of myself. First of all, I am not an insomniac. I do feel sorry though for those who have to suffer everyday because of this condition. Sleep is so important in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Let me tell you why I am wide awake right now. It is 1:26 AM after midnight right now.
In my case, sleeping hours are actually working hours. When everybody else is asleep I am behind my desk in my living room trying to make my next dollar. It is the price I have to pay in order to reach the goals that I have set myself in the short-term and in the long-term.
I have just submitted my last freelance assignment which concludes client orders for the day (or should I say night or morning?). Days like this where I finish client orders before 5 am are very rare. It gives me an opportunity to get on Steemit and see what my favorite authors have been up to.
You know, I am always a bit envious of those authors who are raking in big bucks on a constant basis.
I think, "They are so lucky. They don't know what most of us would do to have a hundred thousand plus Steem Power plus for a week."
But I know they do. Most of these top earning authors and investors probably went through battle trenches, nerve recking moment probably taking risks with Bitcoin when most of us thought it was a scam. They deserve to be enjoying their rewards right now, don't they? Nobody can take that away from them.
I am very grateful that I log into Steemit everyday and see just how hard some of them work to grow their earnings and contribute towards the growth of Steem and Steemit as a community.
It inspires me greatly to see authors and investors like @JerryBanfield constantly producing great content day in, day out like clock work. The dedication in sticking to a particular schedule religiously and rarely faulting is just admirable and inspiring.
That is part of the millionaire mindset, as I like to call it. Find something that you are passionate about and pursue it with singular focus and achieve your goal. That is a quality I hope to cultivate in myself because it is gravely lacking.
I would also like to recognize the incredible efforts of a fellow Kenyan author @JeanWandimi. She is an amazing writer and Youtuber. She just joined in the beginning of October and already she has surpassed me in both reputation and account value despite me having joined a few month earlier.
There is so much I could learn from both of them especially in answering this question.
Can Steem make me rich?
The answer is a definite, YES!

But not if I continue to lay under the shade as everybody else toils under the sun. I have to emerge from my shell, from my comfort zone. I have to put in twice the effort. Thrice and four times the effort even!
That is what I intend to do. Just like @JerryBanfield, I want to offer more value to the Steem blockchain. Ideas are my currency at the moment. My ideas and skills are my investment into the Steem blockchain and it is time I created space for it in my daily activities.
Thank you for taking the time to read the first post in my Insomnia Late Night Diary series. I hope you enjoyed taking a sneak peek into my diary. Don't forget to put it back where you found it though.

I actually stayed up and slept at 7am in the morning. Sometimes when you are doing something you enjoy sleep just can't touch you. Thank you for stopping by.

It is amazing when you are doing something you enjoy, sleep takes a hike. You do not need caffeine or anything. Just the love and drive from within.

I must admit that there was a bit of coffee involved too. Probably the only reason I have not yet fallen of my seat yet.

LoL... that thing about the internet being fast at night is very true. Why is working at night much more fulfilling though??

If I'm sacrificing my sleep, it better count 😀... it's fulfilling almost by default.
