A Steemit Community Appeal: Our Fellow Steemian @darthnava needs our help!

in steemit •  7 years ago

This post is a sharp departure from my usual fare... but this is important.

Long-time Steemian, active blogger and community member @darthnava has received some sad news about his health during a recent diagnostic hospital visit.

He now faces treatment at considerable expense. If he doesn't get the treatment within a couple of weeks, the situation could become life threatening.

This man needs our help!

I strongly encourage you to visit his original post to read more.

You can help by doing any/all of the following:

Upvote and resteem his post!

Go through the comment section of his post and upvote ALL replies made by @darthnava. It'll take you a few minutes, but every penny counts!

If you can afford to, make a direct contribution of Steem or Steem Dollars directly to his Steemit account... @papa-pepper-- one of Steemit's finest-- has already led the way with a very generous donation, but more is needed!

I was originally going to "decline payout" on this post, but to get as much as possible from this appeal, instead 100% of any payout for this post will be sent to @darthnava.

Steemit is an amazing community... let's all pull together and help our friend!

Thanks to all-- upvote and resteem-- spread the word!

Thank you @uwelang!

Damn this is sad, glad to see the community helping like this! Will do my best to help!

I'm glad to see the community rallying to his aid... it's a great sign that Steemit truly IS a "community."

It really is a good sign! Steemit is really coming together for darth, there isn't much time left but it's great everyone is acting quickly

Upvoted and resteemed. May everything go well for @darthnava.

Thank you! It all helps.

upvoted and resteemed, good to help out fellow steemians who really need it. :)

Thank you! The response has been excellent.

This is great that even upvoting might actually help some one.
I hope he gets better soon. My well wishies to him.

Looks like the public appeal has done quite well... and he will be able to afford his hospital expenses.

I will keep an eye out for @darthnava's posts and make sure I upvote them. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. <3

Thanks! I love the way there's a real "community spirit" at work here. At the current pace, his post asking for help may just be able to fund most of his hospital bills.

Oh I hope so. That would be amazing, wouldn't it? Last night before bed It was over the $3800 mark.

Still trickling in... but there's a good additional flow happening from people upvoting all his replies in the comment section; at least another $1500 happening there. Add in direct donations and he may just be able to get it done! Which would be a totally awesome story of community cooperation!

Upvoted and resteemed.

Thank you.

May God bless him with health and long life. get well soon @darthnava
