Cryptography Challenge #1

I will be doing a variety of these cryptogaphy challenges along with my Cryptology Series. Use any resources you need to complete the challenges including the web, image search, past posts, books etc... you will need to think outside of the box and use all of your skills. I have encrypted the message using a specific method, you will need to find the method in order to decrypt it. If any of the terminology below is confusing refer to my Cryptology Series Part 1: Getting the Basics. You will receive 1 hint per challenge and each challenge will increase in complexity! As more people get involved, and author rewards increase I will increase the prizes as well.

it is better to create than to learn

The bust of Caesar was a giveaway that this was the Caesar cypher which is just a simple letter shift. From there it was trivial to guess starting with the two letter words. Guess one letter and shift the others by the same amount and see if it makes sense. Once 'i' is tried for the first letter, shifting all letters by the same amount (back 3) reveals the message.

I don't know when I first hear of the Caesar cypher. Probably in Latin class or reading Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson...

Very good! That is correct! The Caesar Cipher is one of the simplest and oldest cryptography methods! The next challenge wont be as easy, I hope you follow and will give future challenges a try! I will transfer your prize of 5 STEEM!
