I agree with you, everyone should decide for themselves where their voting-power goes. But if we all end up only upvoting our own post then we could have a problem :D

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
