Fair redistribution of wealth: our world requires an internet of solidarity ...

Most of the invented technologies (radio, television, internet, blockchain, …) advocated in their early version an ideal of freedom and democracy and decentralization.

But recovered by the « social order in place » (companies, governments and especially investors), they tend to become centralized monopolies far from their original ideals.

Despite all the talk about sharing and democratization, the technology industry has become addicted to an investment model looking for massive and short-term return on investment.

Ordinary users believe that the platforms they use every day are intended for them, that they are free, even though the personal information they share is sold to pay investors.

Conversely, the social and solidarity economy is creative and energetic. All too often, that economy does not hesitate to use the tools the internet, as if they were inevitable, without seeing the contradiction of using Google Drive, Facebook or Square … so many tools that do not share the same objectives (social and solidarity).

Dear reader … what do you think? Does our world deserve an Internet of solidarity?
