FIRST ATTEMPT ON BAKING

in steemit •  7 years ago  (edited)

People are always afraid of trying something new most times due to the fear of failure....it took me like an hour to decide if i wanted to try this or not....

Have always got a strong thing for recipes and after watching a some one do this i just felt i should give it a try...

Baking would always be one crazy thing i would always love to be involved in and that little opportunity to learn more wont be bad...so on a christmas morning i gave it a shot..

MY INGREDIENTS
1.margarine
2.sugar
3.flour
4.eggs
5.baking powder
6.flavour(vanilla,banana and milk)

MY PROCEDURE

First i added sugar and the margarine in one bowl then the starring started ...was kind of hectic doing doing that in a crude manner but in a situation you have a machine you can make good use of it and save some amount of energy i guess..

For a while i made sure the sugar and margarine were blended together such that it can be termed miscible ..that is it was actually smooth..

The baking powder was added to the flour while the eggs were broken into another bowl....was told liquid goes into liquid while baking so flavours were all added to the eggs(vanilla, milk and banana flavour) then whisked ...

That been done, the eggs were all mixed with the margarine paste and flour forming a more thicker paste than it was initially ...that yummy cent came up though..

The baking session commences ...in my own idea i used a pot slightly filled with river sand because its usually fine in nature placed on a locally made burner...i think it should take about two hours for the paste to completely bake into an edible cake..

Now just posted this because am expecting a perfect end product given that i followed that procedure i saw while watching....all photo credits to @arcjen02

Looking forward to baking something better off than this in my next attempt...and with the level of interest i am attaining i think i should learn this properly...tanks to @davyd for the assistance while doing this ..

I just cant wait for this to be ready...
