Will Steemit Become The Number One Social Network?

Steemit has sparked attention in the world of social networks, that's good because it will awaken sleepy giants. Facebook is preparing its digital currency and its business model as Steemit, this is a new era of advertising and business. The big players are getting ready to catch the real waves of surfing on a new trend. Today we have 1 000 000 users on Steemit, that's great, but it's very little. If we compare Facebook and Steemit then it's really a bit, this business model cannot bring a billion people. Those who have the money they dominate on Steemit, rare are successful bloggers without Steem Power who have big earnings on Steemit. Of course, everyone has the chance to make money, it takes a lot of energy and work. Although Steemit now has registration problems, often falls etc., I believe that technical issues will be solved and that we will have new offers that will trigger a lot of people. Steem is a great currency, has a great future that depends exclusively on the main management team. If Steem company made deals with companies that people can buy for Steem their products and services, then they would get another usable value Steem next to Steem Power.

There is no centralized education for people, Steemit is a business network where you can make money if you make good connections with people who have Steem power, or if you invest money in Steem Power. New users listen to the story of Steemit, then get flags or negative ratings because they do not know the rules of the game. There is technical information, but psychology and work with users as a school is currently only done at Steem Schools https://discord.gg/q9VEn5n. There are many useful projects that help new users to become successful and this is an excellent part of the story. Our mission is to help Steemit and new customers achieve the right results, because if people do not experience success then we can lose them forever. Communication styles, types of bloggers and managerial styles, a way to communicate and attract audiences and strong bloggers. Many users do not want to become bloggers, if they introduce referrals and give a percentage of profits for bringing new users (part of profits in SBD). Some changes would bring much more popularity to Steemit and Steem, that's what we all want.

Creativity should remain in one place instead of running from Steemit. All creativity and Steemit starts and ends with the Witness program where the top 20 decide on the entire Steemit. If a creator wants to become a witness and enter the top 20 for it, he needs the votes and Steem Power, but Steem Power is the crucial thing. We say this is a decentralized platform, okay if democracy is that all voices in one state are not valid and that only omnians who receive the support of rich people are elected. This needs to change and expand to at least 100 positions. There are always two solutions, either we will change or somebody else will make a better project and all users will disappear as a cartoon. If we do not have customer support then the Steem and Steemit values fall, then it's mostly late for changes. I believe that all investors want the project to be successful and bring 100,000,000 people. I am writing this because I love Steemit and I want to help with 100% of my knowledge and my heart.

A compact family builds a house. If Nikola Tesla appears in the project and we get rid of them with our ignorance, then we have no chance to do great things. Therefore, it is important to be friendly with all new users, it is also important to help the main team understand the needs of new users and other 7 billion people on the planet. Definitely, Steemit has sparked attention to the biggest players in the social networking zone, so it's time to start with the changes that will put us in place No. 1. Together with other managers, we organize an education system that will bring millions of new users to Steemit, I believe that all smart people should be loyal because of their personal interest. Steemit is a gold mine but can be the largest diamond mine in the world, are you ready to do it together?

I came to Steemit just under a year ago. As a blogger, I was looking for more. Steemit looked to be a promising diamond in the rough, and I still believe that. I do believe though that when the masses come to understand the concept of social media platforms that pay, Steemit will have some stiff competition, even though Steemit has had such a great jump on the competition (Facebook already has membership and a great UI... all they need to do is create their own currency!) When EOS is launched this summer, I would expect to see other emerging social media platforms built on this next generation blockchain, and unless Steemit irons out a bunch of wrinkles, it may never amount to much more than it is now. Look at the value of Steem as it struggles to maintain it's recent gains. Changes need to be made, more witnesses need to be incorporated, communities need to be built, bot policy needs to be adoptet, and a better UI would be nice. Unless the Steemit devs get busy, I see nothing but stagnation in Steemit's future. And I have never hoped this much to be so wrong about something.

I agree with the points you mention here. I just want to add one thing.

I think that not this platform will be the number one, but all the application build on this Blockchain together can bring Steemit to the top.

Ok, actually I don't think that Steemit will be on the topbecausee of its alignemnt. You said it yourself not everyone is a blogger, but through Steemit people become bloggers which is great.

I think applications like Dtube or the first SMT Appics will have better chances for mass adoption compared to Steemit. Simply becauseInstagrama is easier to use than medium.com for example and video is the best format to connect with people in my opinion.

Dtube is already in existence, but I could imagine that they will turn it sooner or later into an SMT which would be good in my opinion.

If all works out we have three major social networks running on the same blockchain: for me this can't fail :)

I have done a good research on decentralized social platforms and social media platforms that rewards its users and i found a number of them such as,sola,yours.org,wildspark,selflerry, lit just to name a few but steemit still tops the list.
Its way easier to get rewards on steemit than any other decentralized social platforms. As much as people criticize the rewarding system on steemit, its actually way better than rewarding systems on other decentralized platforms and actually works. The rewards on these other socialplatforms is in pennies and takes a significant amount of time to accumulate to a reasonable amount that can be transferred. As much as social giants like facebook might develop their own coin, i highly doubt they will use this coin to reward their users. Their main intention is to keep up with the current technology which is basically blockchain technology. I think if the social giants develop their own coin,these coins will mainly be used to transact businesses and pay for services such as adverts on such giant platforms . The most probable thing they will do to ensures users benefit is by probably introducing a tip button where a user can tip another user.
I highly doubt it will be possible to mine coins on a platform like facebook,instagram or twitter through likes if at all they come up with their own coin or token.
Yes the rewarding system on Steem may not be fair but its actually unique and seems to work compared to other platforms. I would give it a 7 out of 10.

I never even realized all the flatforms you mentioned above. Do they also use a crypto currency to power them??
I think you are right that the social media giants..Any coin they develop will be to do with paying for services and adverts.
Facebook is worried, i was banned by "admins" for talking about the benefits of Steemit.

There seem to be a shift in power in social networks where not one social network is a clear number one. This is mostly due to the fact that each social network brings something unique to the table, thus comparing becomes hard Twitter and Facebook are both social networks yes, but are they the same? Hardly

Expanding without touching the creative side of Steemit will indeed be the big challenge. I am not fond of the referral system as it promotes cheating with multiple account. The witness program is something I can't really say much about, as I lack the basic knowledge. But as it seems more a popularity contest which heavily favors the early users it isn't something that really peaks my interest. Giving 20 people some power over a million is just absurd from the beginning.

For me the biggest challenge seems to be not finding new members, but rather keeping the new members motivated. After the first introduction post which often gets a lot of response and upvotes the majority faces the harsh truth that most of their work won't be noticed by anyone no matter how good the quality is or how much effort they put in it. You can't keep someone like that aboard nor can you blame them that they quit.

I'm not half as experienced with Steemit as you are but I know for a fact the biggest truth here lies in: "either we will change or somebody else will make a better project". I just fear that the people capable of the biggest changes on Steemit are also the people that are the least willing to do so

I think Steemit has the opportunity to achieve this task over time. While the competitors are limited in the consideration to crypto compatibility. It's practically #1 in respect for what it offers the community. The selling point on competitor IO, I resteemed from another post, is duration of ability to gain reward in upvotes. The claim is that a steemit post is closed after seven days. The competitor mentions UUNIO as allowing users posts to act as crypto currency upvote style mines for the duration of the posts existence. The long term strategy offering may be a selling point. At current there are at least 1,000,000 Steemit users which is significant growth since I started around 600,000's. I think that I may engage in both formats publishing unique content to either. I also feel that the selling point makes a lot of sense where efforts consider longevity in earnings rather than active response. But, the truth in fact of the matter is that I find most posts find engagement near immediately after their release to the primary form of social media. Whereas, engagements from other social media happen all the time. But, engagements happenings are relatively active. I suspect this happens due to the feeds and RSS style of content view traversing the internet. The website Pinterest grew quickly because image files gained great SEO from google. Configurations like these are extremely valuable for those whom wish to engage consistently. Will Steemit have to compete with UUNIO and extend the time for posts to earn upvotes? Will that consideration extend for the entirety of the posts existence online? It's a simple adjustment that can be nullified. In most races I find runners that get ahead of the pack early tend to win more races. At the moment I consider Steemit the number one social media platform offering users upvotes reward them in crypto. We shall see what's to come.

I think there is ample room in this world for multiple social networks to coexist. As part of the Steemit community, of course, I would love to see this network become number 1, but there will be a ton of obstacles along the way.

One, people talk about bringing in the big names onto this network. Not sure if this is easily feasible on a decentralized network. You would have to incentivize the big names to adopt this network, and probably pay them a ton of marketing dollars. On a "decentralized" platform like Steem, would Steem go out of the way to pay for these big names? Also, the companies that tend to pay out the marketing dollars for these big names to endorse anything are paying for the views/impressions/upvotes, which would take time to accrue on a new platform. Honestly, it would be so much easier to stay on their existing network, where they already have a huge collection of content and followers.

If there was a way to easily bring over all of the content from existing platforms, or if they were to start Steemit from the beginning, to have a transitional method in which they would be able to upload the same contents over two networks, this could help pave way for these power influencers.

Even if they were to transition over to Steemit, Steemit only has a million users (congrats to everyone on that milestone by the way). Even if every single user follows these power users, it would still be a fraction of what they had on the other platforms.

Two, Steemit is still very hard to understand, compared to the simplicity of other networks like Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram. Steem, SD, SP, Powering Up and Down takes some time to understand and can be quite a threshold to overcome. People tend to value simplicity.

Three, Steemit will grow organically. Other platforms are commercial enterprises with large pockets aimed to grow their user base at an astronomical rate. As a result, the initial growth will be quite different.

Ultimately, while I see the Steemit platform to become very big and powerful, it will not happen overnight, and will take time to grow organically, but because of the value proposition, will become quite a beast in the future!

I'm not sure if Steemit will ever have as much users as facebook. I have lost faith in human intelligence, people are too easy to manipulate. FB is designed to make people addicted, it creates dopamine/serotonin pathways utilizing it's colourful graphics and the notification sounds. It's very hard to break that conditioning, so millions of people will keep uploading their personal information on fb who will keep selling these information to vatious corporations. Steemit is a comparatively more honest platform for rational minded people. But what this technology has shown us is the vision the engineers and physicists had, who developed the internet; a platform for high art, high culture and high society. While half the internet is occupied with photos of breakfast, selfies and pornography, Steemit is really a revolution.
