Market Snapshot - August 20th 2018

Top 10 Cryptos

At the moment of writing, top 10 assets were mostly in green (apart Tether), but the market outlook is sideways.

Bitcoin is still hovering around $6,500, which looks like a new floor. All other assets are recovering from last week losses.

STEEM And SBD

At the moment of writing, STEEM was trading, on average, at $0.90 on Coinmarketcap, identical with yesterday.

The hourly chart looks sideways for STEEM, which is changing hands for about 14k satoshis now.

The 1 day chart looks more stable than yesterday, but in the absence of significant volume, the upper hand seems to be hold by bears.

SBD was trading, at the moment of writing, at $0.99, very slightly down from yesterday and at the peg.

The 1 hour chart shows sideways trading, no major spikes

The 1 day chart is also stable, no significant changes

SBD to STEEM Ratio

At the moment of writing, according to steem.supply you could get 1.067 STEEM for 1 SBD, down from yesterday, and above parity. Since SBD printing rate is 0%, rewards are paid now in STEEM / Steem Power.

Overall opinion: The key word for today seems to be "indecision". Markets are moving sideways, preparing the next move. The bearish potential is still not out of the cards, but a bullish reversal seems to be more and more pausible, if more volume will come in. STEEM and SBD are holding their ground.

Yesterday was just a transition Sunday with the prices ranging with no clear trend.
Bitcoin managed to trade below the $6500 level until a big bull candle crossed the resistance line again. The market is unfolding a bull flag this morning waiting for volume to join and create a clear trend. 50 and 100 MA lines just overlapped and may act as a support.

EOS was trading above $5 having the 50MA line as a support which was broken just a few minutes ago. Stochastic is reaching oversold showing a potential market reversal if volume comes in.

STEEM extremely low volume was not able to bring the price back above $1. Maket just down crossed the three moving averages but the trading range seems to be still the pattern for the hours to come.

Indecision is ripe and market is being played on sentiments. I am not very bullish at the moment and feel that we still have some more market cap to loose before we can really get going after a bull run.

PS: I think it's 14k instead of 4K :-)

Thanks for the news update today.
Yesterday i learnt that HODL was not a crypto acronym but a spelling mistake by someone and it from there became famous.
My point is, who is that person ? I've tried searching it but no lead yet.

Bitcoin couldn't hold It's 6600k resistance, Hopefully, next month bitcoin ETF will be approved and we will start to see market rising.

I am glad to see this graph paper..market going up....i think next month bit coin rate more going up...and steem price will going higher...every peoples are so happy..and pray for bitcoin rate...bitcoin rate going up and up...thanks for sharing..
