Explain to me how SMT will bring more money into Steem

I'm honored you trust me so much to explain this complicated thing :)

Joke aside, Steem is a blockchain, it's not the app per se. So Steemit audience data is more or less irrelevant. It's an application oriented blockchain, that's true, but the real business is on top of it. SMT may potentially bring in more dApps which will each create their own token and generate their own audience.

At least that's what I'm hoping to see.
