Does anyone really enjoy logging into Facebook these days? I know for me, it's usually a depressing experience.

I have multiple Facebook pages that I run as well as a personal profile, but the Facebook craze seems to have died years ago. Even if you have 2000+ friends, maybe 100 of them will actually see your posts because of the control FB has over everybody. Plus, the fact that the older 80+ generation thinks it's cool is not a good sign.

I remember once upon a time, there was a social network called MySpace..

Haha those were the good ol' days. While MySpace was popular for a period of time, it eventually died out.. and Facebook was the beneficiary. It has successfully owned the social media space ever since, and even bought out platforms along the way..
But times are a changing! Blockchain technology is revolutionizing currency as we speak, and Steemit is using this power to revolutionize social media. Even if 90% of Facebook users don't realize it, Facebook is dying a slow death. The only reason I log on is because 90% of everybody is still on there. I'm just glad that I found Steemit when I did, before the masses pile in..can't wait to see how this will all unfold. I'm interested to hear your thoughts!

The only reason I log into facebook is to check in on my family who all live around the globe. They usually just message me. I am so done with the drama that people put up on Facebook. I lead a simple happy positive lifestyle and surround myself with the same so no need for that.

Yea same here, I get depressed just looking at the timeline

What goes up, must come down... It will take many many years to bring down FB... however its easy for steemit take tons of market share from them :)

Agreed!

Facebook is so massive globally it will never die out. They are constantly growing their user base. Maybe Steemit will be come a buyout candidate? lol

They're definitely desperate, that's for sure. It's gotten so ridiculously complicated though and everybody hates the neverending ads and other assorted bullshit. If you had gotten half of the Farmville and Candy Shop game invites via facebook as Ihave, you would realize that Steemit is the future :D the beauty is in the simplicity of it, and that's what EVERYBODY is about nowadays!

Yea I've got plenty of those too, Steemit is definitely the future, hopefully others realize it soon

Haha maybe, but do you think the founders of Steemit would sell? I hope not

Once Steem starts to pick up more Steem, Facebook will want a piece of it in my opinion. Or they'll end up copying it in some sort of way and potentially e better since they have the user base to promote it. Similar to hat they're doing to Snapchat. I feel if Facebook makes you a legitimate offer you have to sell it or get crushed.

Haha maybe, but do you think the founders of Steemit would sell? I hope not

Facebook needs new users. Without new users, financial parties will lose their interest.

Exactly

Myself, I have already reached the number of the Beast :)
Number of the Beast

Lol well keep posting so you surpass it.. I followed you

facebook has a little under 2 billion users - 90% of them will never leave but hopefully Steemit will kill faceobok 👻 💀

I deleted my facebook account years ago. I just started disliking the whole political commentary I was seeing posted around by friends and then of course all those pictures.. If Steem can keep out posts that are solely intended for pumping coins or just any bad juju it will be a great success.
