so as I was browsing through steemit I keep seeing blogs where people have taken images from the interent that are not theres, I have desided that this blog of mine instead of drawing any more is to check peoples work and name and shame them on here.
I would like all steemians who feel the same way as me to follow my journey in red flagging the people I bring to your attention. I know some people will get annoyed at what I am doing.
BUT WHY SHOULD YOU GET PAID FOR SOME ONE ELSES WORK.
there is alot of people on steemit that I respect, I am always reading through blogs and I find them really interesting, but when some one blatantly takes credit for others work then this makes me have an issue with them.
You can love me or hate me, but I AM HERE TO STAY. good luck to all the muppits who deside to copy and paste as I will be adding links to your profile in my blog.
So here we go.
Yesterday I was looking through steemit and came to this post.
these pictures have been taken from here

there is another post by the same poster which is also copied and pasted. red flag him. until he stops copy and pasting and starts to put original content on steemit. why should he get paid for other peoples work. the culprates name on here is @topfindings
If you see something on steemit send me a link in the comments and i will check it out. at the minute I am only checking images and photos so please keep this in mind.

So what's the alternative to cutting and pasting? Also, if I share something, isn't that the same thing? Forgive me, I'm just a noobe.

steemit states that you don't copy others work. the best thing to do is to re write it your self in your own words. use free imagaes from places like pixabay and state where the image has come from. I have not been on here too long but I have friends on here who think and feel the same way as me either follow the rules and not get flagged, or copy paste and get red flagged and loose your rep score, then people will never up vote your post then they are lost in the block chain.
If some one has given you permision then state where that saurce has come from, and if some asks questions about something answer them. when you copy and paste some ones work all your doing is getting paid for someone else's work. and your getting paid just for a few clicks. there are people on here what spend hours on steemit creating there own content and its quality stuff who have 1000's of follower, then there are copy and paste people on here with only a hand full of followers. do the maths.
I am on a red flag mission, I will be red flagging and commenting when doing so. so you will know its me.

I agree with you about copying other people's work. I do write my own stuff and wouldn't want anyone stealing it for their own use. That's the main reason I'm on the steemit block chain. I was more referring to copying and pasting my own work from either my blog or even my other computer and pasting it here. Images present a different problem. I don't posses many of my own and the free ones don't often reflect what I'm trying to convey. How would one go about getting permission to copy and paste a private image? And how would you know that permission had been granted for the use of that image? I'm very new at this and don't want to break the rules. Maybe things will get more clear as I proceed. Thanks for your good work in protecting our intellectual property. Keep up the good work. I upvoted your reply. Thanks for the feedback.

If you use some one elses work you have to state it in the text below the image you are using. some people don't even read the blog or comments so if a steemian comes your way and red flags it you can soon loose your rep score and start to loose followers and money.
There are many free sites on the net to get images from such as pixabay, or you can make your own with a camera and using some editing softwear like, Paint.net which is also free to use and pritty simple.
There is also a bot on here that goes and reads what you write and if it comes to your post and see's something on it it will comment and give you the link to the origianl saurce. people on here soon loose interest in people who copy and paste and when that person puts a good post out there it won't get looked at as the wales will just pass them by.
The best thing to do is post origanal stuff and get a good following and go from there. steemit is a great platform to get paid on, its just a shame that some people try and take credit for other peoples work

Forgive me if there's a better way to connect with you. Navigating Steemit is so new to me.
I just read a post: 10 Things Americans Don't Know About Their Home Country America posted by mazenbj. I read the entire post thinking this guy's a good writer and knows what he's talking about. But when I got to the bottom of the article there's a link to the source. Before I clicked the link, I upvoted and followed the guy. Then I visited the author's Steemit page and, after reading his self description, decided he couldn't have been the author and unfollowed him. So I clicked the link and went to the real author's blog. Is this the sort of cut and paste piracy you're talking about, or does the poster's reference to the real author's website make it okay? I don't think it does. What's your take?
Also, I formatted this in MarkdownPad 2 and then cut and pasted into the reply box since I have no idea how to do it otherwise. I wouldn't think this could be a problem. I'm sort of anal about all of this. I just don't want to blunder into red flag territory myself. Thanks.
