For some very strange reason, people loose their appetite for posting when the STEEM price drops.
Weird.
So I am writing my usual reminder to KEEP POSTING!
I don't understand why people stop. I mean, the logic is clear, but flawed. Because there is a lag time of one week between posting and getting rewarded.
Literally anything can happen in a week. Bitcoin could rip, dragging up STEEM and SBD with it. And if that happens, your post might increase in value by 25%. Or 50%. Or 175%. We just don't know.
And in that scenario, let's say you decide to post again at that point - but then one week later the price plummets again (who knows in this environment?). By the time you get your rewards they will be -25%. Or -50%. Or -175%.
The only way to make sure you see the good times and build your account (through posting) is to post regularly. I post every day. When the good times come, I will have the rewards to show for it: I won't be waiting for a week, hoping that the prices holds.
I recommend this approach as it also helps (I believe) hone your writing skills. The more often you write, the better writer you will become.

I agree with ya. This isnt a get rich quick thing. Its a bit of gamble at times but you cant lose here (unless you have something invested besides time). My post quality recently has gone down a little bit because im preparing some new content. Keep posting, commenting and upvoting. We are gonna get thru this!!

Consistency is key.... Although sometimes I skip a day or two because I can't think of something interesting to post!
It's interesting to understand the varied motivation for being a part of Steemit... I guess some take future positions, while others are interested in an immediate return... Each to their own.

I post everyday - it might not be literary genius quality, but it's good practice and I am slowly improving as a writer (hahaha I think, anyway)

The one thing I have given up trying to predict is people’s behavior. I am behind the steem platform not just for the reward system but the its ethos.
I cannot wait for “Steem 2.0” that is rumored to get launched on EOS.

@drwom, it's not the money alone. It's the stupid intransigence of witnesses who are unable to monitor their robots, or even put up their own original posts. 😇 What point in curating if a robot downvotes you every single time one makes a comment or post¿ The downvoted has nothing whatsoever to do with the content, but only to do with the name of a user who has the lowest opinion of unmonitored bullying. The Nazi in control of cheetah@ needs a good violent enlightenment that she is the bad influence and is a laughing point among the watchers, having no control over her own robot¿ or deliberately and maliciously or jealously attacking other's hard work whilst presenting nil work of her own. 😇

She doesn't post anything herself that has any originality, but earns $ from supposedly using bot to find misused, when she is a major misused herself, witness or not. It stinks. I suggested to someone else that a really marked person might buy ten vf $2 Sims and run up each by voting each, and then downvoted and flag every one of her entries. I'm not computer oriented, but if I can see she is misusing her power and nobody has done anything about it in three months, then my suggestion becomes a more likely scenario every day. Any one with computer skills could do such an action far easier than me who only has a phone. 😇
