If you are replying on my post positively, then why you don't UPVOTE it

I respect when someone warns me, or when someone writes negative comments on my post, because he didn't like it, or disagree with me about something and those are reasonable grounds to reply on my post without UPVOTING!

But I came across a lot of people who have a positive reaction on my posts (or someone other's post). They reply on it, but without UPVOTING. If you like something, why you souldn't UPVOTE it?

Some guys had very nice chat using replies on my post. They didn't UPVOTE my post, they didn't HATE it too. So, in the most decent manners, I UPVOTED their replies just to educate them, and show them how to do it. I don't think they understood what have I done and maybe it is wrong, but that's just the way I am.

I think many times they are lazy to upvote OR they would vote if they had the option to use a lower vote power! Now it is possible for large SP holders to do so! https://github.com/steemit/steemit.com/issues/91
So be prepared to get more votes from whales but using less vote power (better than nothing right?).

I believe that it would be superb if the poster took minimum 5% upvote for each comment by default from the system with the only exception from commenter's that have flagged the post of course !!!

same here.
I get seriously irritated when someone agrees with me and doesn't upvote.

Just because I agree with your posting it does not mean i will always upvote it.
Two things happen in upvoting and they are not the same thing, firstly and simply you apply your vote to that post which brings in more votes and notice to your posting. This might even bring Dolphins or a Whale along and skyrocket your post...
More importantly is my steemit reputation is gauged by how i use my votes. thus i need to use care to try and choose articles to curate or upvote that the whole steemit population tends to view similarly as useful to users.
I only get around 20 or more votes per day to spread around whereas i can comment forever; so while I do often upvote a topic I use care to keep my voting power undiluted and thus more effective every day.
Good luck with your Authoring's...

I think you are mxing things up.
Curation Reward <-> Reputaion.

Curation reward is gaining votes for myself based on the quality of my comments i post on. Voting is limited to a certain number of votes per post per day. Comment posting curating is different from voting...

no.

edit: I don't understand any of that to be honest.
It doesn't make any sense.

Voting is limited to a certain number of votes per post per day.

that's just wrong.

google it or something. sorry.

You'll find that some people will wait until after the 30 minute period to upvote even if they comment sooner.
Also sometimes people are not allowed to post due to their VP level.

I totally agree on that.. I also came across many of them so far who got time to comment but not time for upvote even when they are commenting positively. hahaha! that's strange yeah right...
