The Steemit social media experiment

in steemit •  7 years ago

Someone, somewhere, thought of the idea of having a social media experiment, where,
based on how popular you are,
or how much money you have,
not how creative you are

defines how much money you will make
from other people who lack the creative talent
and the social skills

so we all sit here, trying to get the votes from the people we don't know, and probably wouldn't give 2 fucks about in real life. but because we can see the contents of their wallets, we try to please them...

what could POSSIBLY go wrong?

i feel you. but its also about attitude, and its hard having a good attitude when you are depressed and struggling to live. i can tell you to ignore other peoples crap, but from experience its easy to say and near impossible to do

😂 That's why I quit trying to write for whales a long time ago. I went back to just writing about what I was really interested in and sure enough I got more whale votes! lol, that was back when it was easier to get recognized and curated though. I still think it's the way to go, but that's my general philosophy to focus on doing what I love and doing what I know I should do and money and everything else takes care of itself.

@richardcrill - yeah, i posted some pretty dark shit yesterday, and sure enough, i got a decent vote on it :P
if i'd realised spilling my heart and soul was what was required, id have done it sooner :P
