You may run into a troll or someone following you and bashing you on your own posts. In those cases mute might be the only thing left to protect your sanity. It does have it's place.

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
