The class action against Bitcoin.com and Roger Ver, which gained ground last week, is being closed due to a too small donation amount, according to one of the trial investigators. The 0.39 BTC given must be refunded to those who contributed.

Bitcoin.com made waves last month when they changed "Bitcoin" into "Bitcoin Core" and "Bitcoin Cash" into "Bitcoin" on the results of the Block Chain Explorer and elsewhere on the site. CEO Roger Ver is a very outspoken supporter of Bitcoin Cash and argues that Bitcoin Cash is the real Bitcoin.

Thousands were outraged by the change, with a @MoneyTrigz user deciding to institute a class action suit against the website, claiming it was deliberately misleading to users, causing them to buy the wrong cryptocurrency.

A Telegram group has been created to find potential victims and create a database of operations. Two days later, a website was in place to inform people of the charges and what was happening. In a few days, the pursuit is gaining popularity. Bitcoin.com has reversed many of the controversial changes on the site, again referring to Bitcoin for Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash for Bitcoin Cash.
Earlier today, MoneyTrigz announced in the Telegram newsgroup that it plans to end the lawsuit after only receiving less than $ 4,000 in donations to fund it. With tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars needed to fund this controversial legal battle, MoneyTrigz has decided to repay the 33 transactions it has received so far. When asked about his decision, MoneyTrigz replied:

"Due to the lack of donations, we decided to cancel the initiative and to refund the 33 transactions received in total of 0.39 BTC, we are happy to have been able to have an impact with the change by Bitcoin.com of 90% his misinformation campaign. What could be accomplished with our own pennies and awareness with the help of the media. "
Some Telegram users were not satisfied with the decision, but MoneyTrigz pointed out that without additional funds, nothing could be done. However, the majority was still very happy with the effects the trial had already caused. A user looked at the cup as half full, saying:

"Mate, you did a fantastic job. Bitcoin.com has changed [their] website, so even if it does not go further, you scared them. "
