http://postimg.org seemed to have a lot of shady reviews so I went back to my old https://imgur.com/ account. I'm still not quite sure why you can't use https://steemitimages.com which works out quite nicely when you write a blog post. Regardless, thanks for reminding me how this is done!

i figured out recently that you can also use steemit by posting the pictures and using the link
just click and drag picture to steemit then copy paste the link.
