How Your Birth Order Shapes Your Personality

First Borns

First borns have an inclination of being perfectionists as they are trained by their parents who, as new parents, devote time anxiously in trying to do everything right for their child. That’s why, as a result, they take this way of being upon themselves.

Generally, when first borns are still kids, they tend to communicate well with adults. But oftentimes, they can be overly careful and tends to worry. Controlling over things is what they like most. More often, they think that they are more competent than others. Usually, they are high achievers in all areas – in school, professionally and even in appearances. They are hardworking employees. They like to achieve and excel.

Middle Borns

Middle children are those born into families where personality is already established – an older sibling is there. There is already a one or more senior siblings assuming responsibility at the time of their birth and growing up. In the case of parenting, the parents of middle children are less nervous and more relaxed.

Often times, middle children play off of the first born. On the other hand, as compared to first borns, middle children are not perfectionists. They instead have that feeling of the need to seek a way to gain recognition and to earn their place in the family. In their own ways, they tend to be creative to earn attention. And often times, they feel that they don’t get enough attention. Sometimes, they can also be rebellious.

Typically middles make good friends and have great social skills. They are versatile, adaptive and creative.

Last Borns

Parents of last borns are considerably more relaxed in their attention and care. Often times, the last born receives and loves attention in the form of being called cute. They have their creative attempts to find ways to catch attention and sympathy of others. Also, they are natural charmers.

Last borns are adventurers, tend to be free spirits, just go with the flow and risk takers. Things like birthdays, anniversaries, etc. are not their major concerns. They rather enjoy life as it comes.

A unique challenge is faced by last borns. For the parents, the time when the first born catches the ball was a very special moment. But when the last born is the one who catches the ball, it has already been done and not met with the same interest as when the first born was the one who did it.
