HF20 update ... Another Decentralized Illusion

As of the 25th of September the #steemit #blockchain was updated.

But since this date, i have only managed to create a couple of posts & comments.

This is because each time i try to post something I get the following message!

As you can see, the system tells me that i need to hold more steem power. Currently i hold more then 9 SP in my wallet ...

I know that ain’t a lot, but i’m not so fortunate to be a rich person, (i need to turn each dime and have to think two times before i can spend something)

And i think this is utterly ridiculous!

I say this because Steemit is a social #network, and #social networks run the interactions of the people that use the network, these posts and comments are the #lifeblood of said social networks, and that is why I think this new posting ‘rule’ is ridiculous. Especially when steemit wants to a future takeover of the number 1 social network facebook, the network should reconsider these implementations.

With these kind of ‘rules’ Steemit is becoming (even more then it already was) a toy for the 1% that hold (or are able to buy) a lot of steem and steem power. And the ‘poor’ steemians like me, that already barely got any interactions or traffick on their posts with the old system, can now post even less, and get no recognition at all. This is not going to be an incentive for new people to join steemit and create their own high quality content. And we as a community should realise that we are just at the beginning of the blockchain revolution, and to reach mainstream adoption, we need people to join and engage with the network.

Trickle Down Economics is NOT something we should engage with, these are faults of the current economic system, and i think all blockchain & crypto enthusiasts wants, a better economic system thats implementing change & it’s going to be fair for everybody. ‘Poor’ people should not have to bottomfeed from the scraps coming from the top of the foodchain.

To conclude, i really like the steemit ecosystem, and the project, so i really hope these are just some startup flaws of the new HF20 implementations ...

Otherwise, i foresee that this is going to be another blockchain project that is not going to work, and Steemit will become another decentralized illusion, going to the cryptocurrency grave.
