Yes, what else? The crutial question is now, whether the soaring is sustainable. If we stabelize now at about 1.5 USD, higher levels are in sight.

Steem should go up until October 25, because it follows the price of Bitcoin as do most, and everyone is going to start pouring into Bitcoin big time very soon, in order to get their free money via Bitcoin Gold. 💰

Steem should indeed get dragged up by Bitcoin, but on its own it already has been going up 30-40 cents since the SMT announcement was made.

Yes, but usually the initial pop on a buy via news is all we get, now it will follow Bitcoin's price fluctuations in lockstep. Sadly, none of the coins or tokens have broken away from Bitcoin as of yet, and the ones that do are just speculations.

That's a good point, time will prove if it is just a quick hype or that it will actually boost the price up in the long run. And yes, I know, it's annoying how much BTC is hyped while there are already much better alternatives...

Much, much, much better alternatives, but it has the fortune and fame.

I do suspect after the 10th Bitcoin named coin is released though, that it will finally start to implode.

The media will have a field day announcing the death of Bitcoin, the market will suffer extreme loses, and a new hero will be born out of the ashes to save it.

Thanks a lot for your daily report! I'm now entirely sure that power up all your earnings of steem power is the very best you can do for a long long time.
The decrease of the top 1000 power down indicator is showing us the way of the worth of steem: Up !

Yes, I absolutely feel the price movement was directly correlated to Ned's announcement. A small pull back was definitely in order, but it's seem to found support around $1.45 and has held. If the buzz remains, and BTC makes a big move higher, we could definitely see Steem test the 1.80-1.90 range again.
