This is interesting... is this creating a false sense of pofitability of Steem or is it a necessary 'stabliser wheel' while the user base grows? My guess is the latter

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
