Supercomputing is Back

in steemit •  8 years ago

Remember when @supercomputing dominated the mining queue? Well, it looks like he is back.
At the time, supposedly he was exploiting a loophole that has been fixed in the Aug 15 hard fork. Now, his graphics-card themed miners are back in the miner-witness queue: "gxt-1080-sc-00??".

Has he found another loophole, or is it GPU mining, now, really?

Yep. I was wondering the same thing. No key-changing between blocks this time, but (s)he is hitting blocks just about immediately after leaving the queue.

Last time, I was guessing that (s)he was mining using cloud computing rentals because of the way the accounts kept vanishing for a while, then coming back - as if a purchase agreement had used up its allocation, then been renewed.

I'm curious to see if that behavior starts again, too.
