Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

Consider setting a schedule 2 or 3 blogs a week (example: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.) Look around for contest that fit into things you enjoy doing and start from there. Poems for instance have one called #poetrydice I’m sure a blog in that tag links back to whoever is currently running it. Quite a few topics here have things like that going on. After you fall into a rhythm in whatever kind of topics you enjoy creating it just becomes far more natural and easy.
