The beginning is here. This community is awesome and I'd hope to stick around for a long time. I'm an amateur at the moment with a small following. I hope next year I can look back on this post with a smile. I'd hope that my effort and participation will result in something great. I hope a lot of u guys who are in the same place right now will put their effort towards the same goal so we can celebrate a great community and a lot of growth next time.

I just had my first introductory post and have been overwhelmed by the response. The beauty of this community is that they welcome the newcomers with open arms. I didn't find myself very exciting till today when i read a lot of people replying that they found me very interesting and different and loved my hobbies and pictures. This kind of behavior from the steemit community is itself good enough to help steem grow. Here is the link of the post (just in case you feel interested)
