“Addiction to Social Media”

This painting was my depiction of society’s addiction to social media, as everybody knows, it could sometimes get out of hand, any age, race, gender is affected. It tends to separate us with one another.

Alot of time wasted

Social media tends to have our minds focus on multiple things at once, we can even do all our household chores and even driving while our eyes are stuck on the screens. Back then i though being a multi tasker is good, yes its really impressive when you can do all those things, but we lack focus, and we are prone to making alot of error and mistakes without even knowing it. In the long run, we tend to accomplish less and leaving us more irritable and lack attention.

We are slowly being brainwashed

Have you ever noticed, that when we watch a very substantial movie, like a love story or some sort. We tend to empathize with the character, and our emotions changes, mood changes as well, and thats healthy, but lets say you use your phone and you browse with every page till it catches you interest, and when we watch someone fighting, our hearts palpitate or we get paranoid with our surrounding, it changes our mood as well, and you would notice those post gets a lot of views and attention, Alot of opinion and comments as if its very important. And with social media, theres a lot of subliminal messages or images thats makes you subconsciously attracted to what you see, we are also bombarded by advertisements and mostly the sides of the screen are also bombarded by a pornographic like images, and thats a major concern specially with kids. As their brains are still developing, they are really not ready yet of that they are supposed to see, but i guess parental guidance is out of the picture, and as kids have their own phones, its harder to keep track of what they learn and see. And it seems that nowadays its a popularity contest, the more likes and followers

A Good side of this addiction to social media

In my opinion, we are all thirsty for knowledge, thats why we are so addicted to all this, we want something profound in our lives that somwtimes one idea can change our lives. Steemit is a Good addiction, i have been using this platform for almost a year and i must say, the ideas are being shared so freely, the conversation are so genuine, its so inspiring to see other people doing good woth their lives, you are able to learn from one another with a simple post, and you can choose the type of crowd you want to be in, and not only that, you precious ideas and creations are being given some value and it helps with the bills as well.

We are the Pioneers for the future of social media

We experienced it all, the evolution of social media, we had myspace, friendster, facebook, instagram, snapchat, and nothing really satisfies us. Not only are those platform taking advantage of our vulnerability, they take away our creations and idea and the gain profit from it. Steemit is a new way to interact to the world, its totally unique and open for all, as an artist i am so grateful that some of my post and pinting are highly appreciated and the interaction you have with people like i said is genuine, we are setting a new standard and ethics when it comes to social media, it what we contribute to the community that brings values, and i believe so much in this platform, that i know someday most of the social media sites would be obsolete. The new Sheriff is in globally that would rock this world! Keep steeming my friends!!!
