MY 1ST MONTH IN STEEMIT AND THE CHANGES IN MY LIFE SO FAR

Never in my wildest dream did I imagine that Steemit world existed, not even the word itself. I am just a nobody (please don’t mind my birthmark in the shoulder :D) who loves reading other people’s blog, travels, stories and anything under the sun. The truth is I envy them. I envy what they are doing. Sometimes I asked myself if I’m such a bad person for thinking things like these not until I realized the reasons behind my enviousness. I am jealous because it is something what I want. Looking at them reflects what my heart truly desires but can’t have.

In my 22 years of existence, I was blind. I am blinded by the perception that everything I do is for the betterment of myself. I came to realized that all the things that I did are for pleasing the people around me. Entering college is like entering a mansion with many doors, I don’t know which door to open. I just ended sitting in a chair dealing with numbers and I already mastered giving them fake smiles everyday. I finished it all the way ‘cause I was too afraid not to meet their expectations and standards.

I almost throw my reverie in the dungeon of becoming a writer someday thinking that it will lead me nowhere, that I have no future in writing. But Steemit rescued me for being such blind and coward to pursue what I really love. It opened my eyes to see and to believe that writing is not something to belittle. I will never forget Mr. @iwrite for mentoring and guiding me during my baby steps. How are you sir? I do hope you are doing fine. I will be forever grateful to you for teaching me.

I am now on my 30th day in Steemit. I have learned a lot of things but there are still more to learn. In my 1 month of being here, I am very happy to reached a reputation of 48 and I know that my long run isn’t over yet. It’s a continuous cycle of growing, exploring and enhancing our abilities and capabilities. It is a platform where we can meet and interact with different hoi polloi, whom I admire for their unique talents.

I know that this is nothing compare to your bathrooms but I just can't contain my happiness to say that because of Steemit I was able to have the cash needed for fixing our bathroom. It’s one of our bucket list of my Auntie, to have a decent-looking comfort room. Every pieces are new from the tiles up to the shower. I feel apologetic if I sound boastful but I have no intention of bragging about it, I just want to show a proof that Steemit is a no joke field. It can possibly change and help one’s life.

I also know that my earnings are nothing compare to others especially those pioneers. I have seen a lot of Steemians who can earn way too far more than I can. They are my inspirations to strive harder. A month old Steemian like me is dreaming to be successful like what the others had already achieved and still achieving. It’s not always a rainbow for me. I also get low upvotes and as a human I must admit that I feel upset and very sad. There are times that I want to quit but mama ain’t raise no quitter so I choose to keep on moving forward. We only failed from the moment we stop trying.

I would like to say thank you Mr. @surpassinggoogle for you generous support and for SURely PASSING your helping hands toward us. I have heard many testimonies of how genuine and good your heart is. We are not fluent in English and we make grammar mistakes but you still accept our every flaws. You always see the goodness out of any lapses. I imagined you as a dragon warrior who’s protecting his kingdom, Steemit and us. Thank you for including us in your flying journey. Sir, you never know how much our heart palpitate whenever we see you upvoting our post, it feels like we won in a lottery. A commoner like us who have been noticed by someone like you uplift our morale. You are so far yet so near ‘cause you always let us feel that you’re just one call away. You considered us your friend and family, an experience worthy to remembered and cherished.

I also would like to thank Mr. @bayanihan, Mr. @kennyroy and Mr. @iyanpol12 for supporting the Filipino community. Society is full of people with crab mentality and here are the three of you, building bridges rather than walls. Thank you so much for your great efforts of putting us together. You all proved that there’s really “bayanihan” (unity) that runs in Filipino blood. ”Maraming salamat po at mabuhay po kayo” (thank you so much and long live).

Ms. @lebron2016 you are so very down to earth and approachable, Ms. @ankarlie you always make our cashout easy to handle, Ms. @aoife12 you are so hyper and always making us laugh, Ms. @lynrogan you’ve been so nice to me, Ms. @rakitera you are full of words of wisdom, Ms. @baby07 you are one of the respected, Ms. @sugarrainbow you are so sweet, Ms. @missgee your name suits you very well ‘cause you are an angel and Ms. @trexybap123 those our little chit-chats will be remembered. To all these amazing and gorgeous women, thank you so much and I love you all.

Mr. @happyphoenix you are very thoughtful and supportive, Mr. @randymarktorres you are very helpful, Mr. @iphone7 you are always there, Mr. @wagun001 you are a great dad to your daughter, Mr. @chinito I can’t remember which of my post you’ve never commented ‘cause you’re always present, Mr. @veejay2312 you are so witty and Mr. @maverickinvictus I will never forget that piece of advise from you. To these gentlemen, I hurl you my salutation.

To those whom I forgot to mention, I am very sorry. I may not be able to include all of the names who are dear to me but my heart will always have a place reserved to kind people like you. I would also like to thank those random people who dropped by and appreciate my writings though I’m not good enough. My posts are all nothing without the help from all of you. To my Steemit family, you let me believed again that humanity still prevails.

To you my friends, let us all be reminded that our days are only as grey as we allow them to be. Hold thy brush and let’s paint our life in the most colorful way as possible. Create your one of a kind masterpiece and let the world wonder.
