Like others have said, OMG, BTC, UBIQ & some small caps, mainly BTC though.
Everyone should be mining because A. It produces 24/7 B. You can trade up after your cards have returned your investment C. You mine for future profits, not immediate. I kept thinking the people who were complaining back in March that mining wasn't worth it when Ethereum was $40 were fools. 2 months later it shot up to $300. Mining is long term and it helps you understand crypto a little better. Oh, and every post you make on Steemit, you are mining.
As for getting people to sign up, we over at SteemitBC are working on it. I will have at least 2-3 signing up this much and hopefully they'll get 2-3, etc.
