Calling All Steemians!

in steemit •  7 years ago  (edited)

Hey all! If you are a veteran, grizzled, successful steemian: Read on. If not: definitely read on!

For all my fellow novice steemians out there--my hope is that this blog turns into some sort of chat room/conversation/roadmap to the steemit world. So be sure to resteem and upvote so this post reaches as many steemians as possible.

For all you steemians out there who consider yourself good at this, this is a chance to hopefully give back to the steemit community and at the very least, provide me (a novice steemian) with some advice on how to gain some traction on the site.

So please comment away with questions, advice, or anything steemit related. Any and all knowledge shared will be much appreciated.

Here are some of my questions to get the conversation started:

1. What is the best way to get more views on your posts if your following isn't significant?
2. What genre of posts would you say the steemit community is most responsive to? (i.e. photo-dominant posts, educational, inspirational, provocative, etc.)
3. Besides posting strong content, what are some tricks that can help posts gain traction and attention?
4. Is joining steemit communities outside of steemit.com (i.e. steemit.chat) important to having a successful account?

Personally, I have really started to gain more understanding of steemit/cryptocurrency through steemit.chat. I think it is the best outside source or information out there because the users are directly linked to this interface, steemit.chat just give users a different, less formal, platform to discuss things happening with steemit today.

Just made an account. Thanks for the tip @modernsuperior

Welcome to the community, wishing you great success here on Steemit with us. Followed. Well I would say I became on the fast track plan all the sudden myself here. How? By being proactive, I started up a Facebook and Twitter page for Steemit users and that seems to be growing faster than my own profile but I am now tagging along with it lol. I call it Steemit Blogger Central, a way to RESTEEM users here to reach other users and to educate non users of crypto and Steemit in hopes to sway them away from the system and find refuge in crypto through Steemit. Content is always key though, can't bore your followers but real interaction is also important and building strong friendships along the way.

Great introduction, glad your asking the real questions of us here. Well worth my follow because I am curious to see what success you find and do with it. All the best

@sflaherty I appreciate the info. Will definitely look into your fb page. Already have about 10 blogs. Each of which has a slightly different style so I've been feeling out how each one is responded to. Will be on the lookout for your next blog on my feed. followed.

I appreciate that, I figure as much effort as I been putting in the FB and Twitter stuff should be useful to the community in time, slowly growing but very steadily. Down to RESTEEM your stuff anytime, just keep me in the loop when something new is out and I will hook it up. All the best, following as well

Hi @fellowhuman! I recently have gained a lot of new posters- there has really been a big uptick in people joining steemit. In that light, I just re-steemed lots of posts that are aimed at helping new posters gain some traction and notice. So check out my blog @gardenlady Good luck!

@gardenlady thanks for being so awesome! Much appreciated

Also, @sykochica has a ton of posts/info for new-comers. Check out her blog.

Welcome to Steemit. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do! :-)

Thanks @bart2305 !
