i am kind of new too (11 days ago), a thing i believe that gets you more reputation is the amount of people with a highest reputation than you, that upvotes you ( i dont know if thats entirely true but its what i think is happening)

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
