SteemSports Offers Fun
My buddy Fred uses SteemSports and I think it's a fascinating use case of Steem. If you haven't checked out SteemSports, I would recommend looking at their set up since it is very game-like. Think of visiting Main Event and playing a competitive game with friends where the person who shoots the most balls in a basket wins the most tickets, while everyone wins a few tickets (the winner gets a bigger pot). This highlights a fun way where a game can have a big winner and smaller winners in the context of a game.
For Steem, provided the economics are sound, this actually makes an even better use case than a blogging platform. Games are fun and attract people who don't care about cryptocurrencies, tokens, etc. As I've written before this, cryptocurrencies are incredibly boring - the uses of some of these are what fascinates people.
Great Idea
This is a great idea, but requires sound economics otherwise a person is devalued into oblivion. Steem should stay committed to sound economics, but if it doesn't, there will always be other platforms that can leverage sound economics and good ideas like this.
