The distraction and procrastination brought about by Steemit is becoming problematic for my work day.
It starts with very subtly checking the coast is clear
No-one is in my monitor's direct line of sight.
I boot up Steemit and start browsing
Before long...
At this point my manager knows nothing of my deceit
My amusement continues...
It seems that this is the extent of what my Steemit habit has become...
Suddenly,
I sense I'm being watched...
Questions begin to arise...
How long have I been mindlessly reading posts about inspiring travel adventures, crypto currency and fake heroin addicts?
What should I be doing right now?
I feel a presence behind me...
I've been rumbled.
My manager bears down on me, glaring intimidatingly
I'm overwhelmed by guilt and shame. Much like Cersei Lannister, this is what I deserve...
I very quickly receive passive-aggressive email asking me to do busy work my manager does not want to do herself.
This is my punishment.
I have gotten off lightly...
This time.
Relief sets in
And the struggle to conquer Steemit-based distraction continues.
Until tomorrow.
In case you're wondering, yes I made this post at work, the very same afternoon this story took place.
I have a problem.
It's a good thing. Don't let your boss or work get in your way of Steemin.
