For the first time since its launch in 1996, Google's homepage will change. The famous white and clean homepage with the colorful Google logo above the search box will have a news feed, based on the user's interests.
This custom feed has already appeared in Google's mobile applications for Android and iOS since 2012. The news now announced the change to the computer's browser, according to The Guardian.
Users will also be able to track topics directly from their search results for sports, movie, music, and celebrity subjects, showing updates on those same topics.
These updates will arrive first in the United States and later become available in the rest of the world.
The Guardian recalls that 12 years ago, Google had already released a customizable home page, now called iGoogle. It resembled other portals and was available between May 2005 and November 2013, but was only visible to those who used the Google account login.
The new feed should require users to have their login done and will display multiple columns and cards, including news and event updates, among other information that can also be based on Gmail and the calendar. That is, it will make use of the intersection of information within the ecosystem of Google applications.
Google will now adapt a design just like the old rival Yahoo! and MSN
Would like to see it!
