Code Syntax Highlighting in SteemIt? When will it be available? Any ongoing efforts?

not on the roadmap at all

condenser (the steemit frontend) uses a fork of the github markdown

but unfortunately the syntax specific notation isn't available and it's buggy all over the place :P

Thanks for your input! I see that there is already an open issue for adding syntax highlighting on condenser's github page: https://github.com/steemit/condenser/issues/2095
