good curation is not just about the vote value, its about helping gain more traction for that post, you could resteem, share on facebook, twitter, reddit. And then there is also commenting and engaging with the author. From all the questions i have asked people, they want to see discussions on their posts. Obviously not all posts create a want to engage with comments, but you get where I am going.
If people spent their SBD on Steem on the internal market, they could power up much faster.
